Contentment

Updated: 6 days ago

Having to make difficult decisions on the daily has a way of hardening your heart in a sense. So question is how do you remain open yet still guarded? How do you still smile when you may be pouring from an empty cup (mentally or emotionally)?

Pushing through the tired of life, the goals and standards we set for ourselves.... can sometimes get in the way of enjoying the moment.

There are things that I still want to accomplish, but each season has its parameters. So, I accept the reality of what is while still keeping faith and putting in work for what I hope for.

And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 18: 3-5

Children have a blind faith and live in the moment. No shame, no regard at times, and no worry. While we mature over time, there's something to the mindset of the bliss of childhood. As a mom, I often think about the nature of a child and why it is so awesome. Why we cherish keeping children where they are and shielding them from the pressures of the world.

Adulting can be difficult no matter where you are on the ladder and whether you feel like the latter or not.

Youth and the elderly have it figured out the mental well-being part (my opinion). There's a carefree aspect I aim to acquire or better said a Contentment I'm after!!

So, in all things regardless of whatever, I'm ok because I'm in Him. That's the goal.
