Show Mode Ready

It's Jan. 24th and already it feels like we're flying by quickly into 2019. Patiently waiting for warmer days and extended evenings this winter season has been rough on us all. For the last 2 months I've been preparing for my show on Feb 8th in Albany, GA at the Northside Lounge. I have 10 songs on the set list(s) and I'm ready to rock and roll. Tightening my vocal regiment I realize how far I can actually excel. My issues in the past have been only preparing when there's a show on deck. Not being in constant show-mode has it's consequences.

Things I have learned:

- It takes about 2 weeks to get back to optimal ability (for me)

- It has a metal effect which causes me to doubt my ability (if I'm not prepared)

- I realize how fragile my vocal chords are and with little to no use, agility can fade over time.

- You're never as young as you once were so it's always good to stay active period. Exercise on a regular basis and take care of your body. Your overall health effects your vocal condition.

Excellence is never an accident especially when you pursue it on purpose.

In these last two weeks my eyes have been opened to what truly sets people a part and that I do have what it takes to make it all the way to the top. I wake up each morning and make sure I say some positive affirmations (-> I say something nice about myself and I quote a scripture).
