WOW! I just want to express that I thoroughly enjoyed this video of a long time friend, mentor, and coach from back in the day. As you all know I am an artist at my core and love seeing, discovering and experiencing art period. I have a true appreciation for the craft within any medium and I'm fascinated by all the different ways of self expression.
In addition to promoting myself and my endeavors, I want to use my platform to shed light on the things and people who inspire me. When I look at Coach Miles' work it takes my back to a time in my mind of inner city living, jazz music, the hustle and bustle of life. I remember there would be a sense of security in your family and the things you consider to be your foundation which for me is the inner core theme of the work that's discussed in the video. Circa 2015-16 on the other side of the fence, the ice cream truck may come while kids play outside; I'm curious to know how this same scene would look in today's world (Covid-19 2020). For now Miles' work gives a nostalgic feeling of a time we all once knew and I'm sure we'll never take for granted.
